Illustrate Me!

My drawing skills over the years have not be the greatest,  however it will stay like that if I don't do something about it, but I also wanted to sharpen my skills on Illustrator, When sketching my design has been changed throughout, luckily this photo surprisingly does not show that. I liked the idea of doing a flat image of my portrait as remembered from guest tutor in my course. I used a mirror at the time of drawing this so there is no photo, and yes I was wearing a Hawaiian shirt at the time.

With some slight changes to the original, I was overall very pleased with the outcome, I didn't realize how difficult it was to add lines on the face, but it was good note to remember if I am ever looking back: DON'T OVER COMPLICATE!!! 

I liked the idea of creating a nice background, rather than just one colour or leaving it blank, I think the rosy pink background could have been darker, just to make the image stand out more, but I do like it, and it is one more step to improvement.
