How Do I Define Political Correctness?
I define Political Correctness as a structure to avoid certain members of a societal group to be mistreated or offended. Understanding the world has become more sensitive as large medias such as Twitter and Instagram or any other type of platform where people are able express their opinion and thoughts, means that people with a higher status, would be put in a situation were expressing themselves through speech or a form of entertainment like Film or Television, would be more problematic due to everything having to be as it is more known as "P.C".
I have listen to these guys for a while, and though they review a lot of movies and have some great discussions about films. This podcast they do talk about whether they think comedy is a dying genre, and I think what they say is very valid and understandable.

What does Identity Abrasion mean?
Identity Abrasion means that a person or members of a group, feel they are being verbally assaulted for their morals or what they believe in. If someone were to make a snarky remark about someone's beliefs and a person of that belief were to be offended by that comment, that would be an example of Identity Abrasion. This is important to remember because Identity Abrasion is an important part of Political Correctness.

Someone who relates to both the Political and comedic sides is comedian George Carlin, another one is Stewart Lee. Both do go into very controversial and diverse topics when doing stand up, I think these two would be very helpful with my dissertation, though they are stand up comedians and both don't do much in the film business, they both have discussed topics such as Political Correctness and some of form of Cancel Culture before it was called that.
