Exquisite Corpses

To start off the new term, we have been asked to make a book that everyone contributes to that involves what Surrealists like to call "Exquisite Corpse". Not only that but we have to all agree on the size of the book, How many pages, what format to use etc.

Here are all the things we have all discussed;

Size- Trimmed A4 ( 170mm by 297mm )
Type Of Paper- Recycled Paper natural 170
Quantity of Pages- 28 pages + 4 pages ( 2 pages )
Price- £132 for 25 copies
Section Size- 99mm by 170mm

Other things we decided on were to only do two of the characters at this moment rather than the four that we picked as well.

Dando Dandini

Profession: Mime Artist
Info: Notes: 'The Physical Chameleon', Dandini could contort his slender frame into the shape of many household objects. Wore a Pierrot costume with lachrymose face paint.

I started off with a few ideas of him being kind of creepy, I really wanted to have him quite slender and slim but not so much that it doesn't make sense. After my last image went well I decided to try it in the same style, not as creepy as I would have hoped but I think its worked really well.

Big Bad John

Profession: Miner in the 60s

Based on this song, Big Bad John is based on the story where a very large man sacrifices himself and uses his strength to save many lives from a mining collision.

This was meant as a sample at first, but I enjoyed how it was going and I kept at it and now it is one of personal favorites from this project, the way I designed this is what I decided to do with some of the others as well.

Melissy Dalciny Caldony Yankee Pankee Devil-Take-The-Irishman Garrison

Profession: Socialite in the 1860s

Notes: Lived in remote Montana. Her legendary soirees were poorly attended.

Mrs. Belcher Wack Wack

Profession: Homemaker (1930s)

Notes- Miss Belcher first married Mr. Wack, and later married his brother. Frequently bought poison.
