The different pathways are;
Editorial
Narrative Fiction
Picture books for Early Readers
Song Lyrics
I have chosen to do mine on Editorial, For this pathway I was asked to produce a series of 3 editorial submissions, one for each week of this project's timetable allocation. I had a choice of 3 writers;
Fay Weldon
David Baddiel- This is the writer that I have chosen to do my 3 editorial illustrations with.
Will Self

Each Article, I will be trying to work on for 1 week starting with the first.
Article 1
Article 2
Article 3

These drawings are to be a templates for some quick designs and should help me have a better idea of how I want my work to look like.

Week Two - The Second Article

Marissa Albanese

On this article, it already had an illustration, and the type of troll the artist took as reference was the 60s Good Luck Trolls with the colourful, long hair, I decide to go for more Hobbit, fantasy trolls, I understood the reasoning of why they chose those trolls, but for the sake of giving myself a challenging and not just redesigning the same illustration on the article.
I had a lot of fun making these drawings, I either wanted to make little goblin like trolls or one big, disgusting troll, I used watercolour for some of the drawings and I didn't hate it, however I thought I would get better used to it first before I would use it as a final illustration.
Picture
I decided to go for the smaller trolls style rather than the troll because the article talks about multiple internet trolls

I took a photo reference of myself holding my phone as if I am about to make a tweet.

As the final outcome to this illustration, I didn't go by reference of another artist which might be the weak link of the image, however I think the message shown is very clear and I think that the image goes well with the article.

Week 3- The Third Article

Picture
These were the thumbnails, that I had thought about throughout the last three weeks, but to avoid going back and forth through the different articles, I decided to finalize the first two articles before starting this one, this led to not having as much time on this article, however these thumbnails were my strongest thumbnails and as soon as I found the thumbnail that both worked with article and also had depth, I got stuck in.
Picture
After speaking to my tutor about these thumbnails, he agreed that the last one would be the most intriguing to do if it was done properly.
Picture
I had to decide between these two, The left thumbnail has more reasoning to it because he talks about the other movements and that they have more publicity, so I think its important to add them but not to have them as the main component.
Picture
As the final outcome again I think because I didn't have an artist in mind when doing this I think that it doesn't have as much impact as I'd hoped.
